It’s true, Vanessa Williams, Marley Shelton, R&B ’singer’ Cassie, Carla Gugino, and Kristin Chenoweth all ditched their clothing during an interview with the magazine Allure.  I came across the photo’s over on this blog.  I was surprised to find that they did this to promote their honesty.  I’m not to sure that I would find someone posing nude in a magazine more honest (hey - I’m likely to think something else)… but they are some pretty gals.

You have to wonder though - why exactly they didn’t have any men posing nude — Is it only women who are made more honest being nude?

A New Star Trek Film in the worksThe US release date for the eleventh Star Trek has been confirmed as Christmas Day 2008.

The announcement made by Paramount Pictures was accompanied by another confirming that JJ Abrams, the creator of Lost, will direct the film.

The film will focus on the early lives of Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock and, although no one has as yet been cast, filming is scheduled to begin in the autumn.

Abrams said, “Needless to say I am honoured and excited to be part of this next chapter of Star Trek.”

He went on to say that his artistic intention was to appeal to everyone by making “a picture for life-long fans and the uninitiated”.

Katherine Heigl is leaving the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy.

The actress, who plays Dr. Isobel “Izzie” Stevens, has dropped out of contract negotiations over a salary dispute.

Heigl has told friends she is hurt and disappointed she receives less money that her co-stars, especially Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington.

Sources on the set also say tension has emerged after a spin-off series was announced featuring Kate Walsh’s character, Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd. She is now getting the cold shoulder from her co-stars.
